The way I see it...

I've always believed that women are beautiful. Definitely the fairer of our species. To be respected and revered. Women have the capacity to nurture and care for the world in a way which men simply are not wired. From an early age, I was fascinated with the many different personas women must take in society. They are supposed to be the girl-next-door and the type of girl you take home to mom. They are supposed to retain a child-like wonder and airiness about them. They are to look glamorous and elegant. And, at times, we want them to shatter all of our expectations and bring out the side of themselves we're told not to want or expect.

I suppose at some point I wanted to create images which captured the more playful side of a woman's nature. In a less misogynistic way than most of the mainstream outlets provided. The images you see in my gallery are representative of my style of work, however they are also equally so of the subject's personality. Quite rarely have I given specific instruction during the creation of an image. Instead, my role is to bring out the personality of my subject and try to retain that feeling in an image.
